History of Pflugerville, Texas

Pflugerville, TX was founded in the late 19th century by German immigrants, who named the town after Henry Pfluger, one of the early settlers. The town grew rapidly in the early 20th century, with the establishment of numerous businesses, including a cotton gin and a bank. Pflugerville remained a small agricultural town until the 1960s, when it began to experience a population boom and became a popular suburb of Austin. Today, Pflugerville is known for its family-friendly community, excellent schools, and natural beauty, including Lake Pflugerville, a popular recreational destination.
